Logistics and supply chain distribution projects at NTC aim to find ways to manage and optimize the flow of goods across the state and across North America. With increasing consumer demand and the globalization of the supply chain, efficient logistics and distribution are more important than ever to the economy. Nebraska, at the center of the US transportation system, is in need of more effective and advanced logistics, distribution, and freight operations approaches. NTC has maintained a longtime partnership with the Nebraska Logistics Council, and NTC researchers have partnered with local businesses to find innovative solutions to their logistical issues, including research on ways to use radio-frequency identification to track the status of goods in transit and control inventory.
