On September 26, 3 representatives from the US Department of Transportation visited the University to see the research efforts from faculty across the Nebraska Transportation Center (NTC), the Mid-America Transportation Center (MATC), Midwest Roadside Safety Facility (MwRSF), and Cyber-Physical Networking (CPN) Lab. The visitors included Thomas Saad, Senior Advisor of Special Programs and Projects, Ceasar Singh, Director of University Grants Programs, and Dr. Firas Ibrahim, Director at the Office of Research, Development, and Technology. They were presented with ongoing and recent projects, given an overview of each program by their directors, tours of the NTC Intelligent Transportation Systems and CPN laboratories, and shown a crash test demonstration at the MwRSF outdoor test site.
