The first year of the Discover Transportation Engineering program was for rising 10th and 11th grade students, offering them an experience in the field of transportation engineering. During their stay at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s University Suites, students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and explore the fundamentals of transportation infrastructure. They also participated in tours of real workplaces and construction sites, gaining valuable insight into the practical applications of engineering in the field. This experience helped inspire future careers and deepen their understanding of the vital role transportation plays in society.
