All expenses will be covered by the Nebraska Transportation Center, except for a $25 fee that can be paid by check at check-in. All checks should be made payable to the University of Nebraska Foundation.

Calling Future Engineers!

Discover Transportation Engineering is open for all high school students, from incoming freshman to recently graduated high school students. Come and find out why transportation is a rewarding career and how you can make an impact! 

Experience UNL & Lincoln

Students will spend 3 days and 2 nights at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they will meet industry professionals, tour their workplaces, and participate in engaging transportation engineering activites focused on problem-solving skills.

  • Nebraska Department of Transportation lab visit, lab tour, and construction site visit
  • JEO office visit, presentation, and activity to redesign traffic flow around a school

Students Stay on Campus

Students will be staying on city campus in University Suites at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Suite-Style Double Bedrooms. Students will be assigned roommates of the same sex in accordance with the January 20th US Presidential Executive Order.
