The Nebraska Transportation Center is seeking Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) drivers to participate in the research project:
“An Equity-Informed Study on Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers’ Perceptions and Compliance with Electronic Logging Devices Mandates.”

Why this study?

Researchers at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are studying how Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) affect commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operations and drivers' scheduling and rest decisions. Your participation will help improve the understanding of driver experiences and ELD-related challenges.

Who Can Participate?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 19 years of age or older;
  • Hold a valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License (CDL); and
  • Are able to visit the UNL driving simulator laboratory in Lincoln, Nebraska

What Will You Do?

During one laboratory visit, you will:

  • Review and sign an informed consent form
  • Complete a brief practice drive to become familiar with the simulator
  • Drive several short simulator scenarios while responding to on-screen messages
  • Complete a short questionnaire about your commercial driving experience

The simulator records driving performance (such as speed, lane position, steering, and braking). No audio or video recordings will be collected.
